If you are a GUEST – we have limited your participation to the Public Forums (because we fancy ourselves like magicians or practitioners of a deeply hidden art, hence we try to guard our secrets well and don’t share openly very well – most of us have been voted “least likely to share our toys in the sandbox”) Perhaps you would like to upgrade to either STUDENT, APPRENTICE or ACTIVE/INSTITUTIONAL.
If you are a STUDENT or APPRENTICE, you will get access to Public, Student/Apprentice and Job Board Forums. (We are your mentors and in some cases future employers, and our biggest fear is that too much knowledge too quickly will make your Heads Explode – and what good would you be to us after that, and who is left to clean up the mess?!?)
If you are an ACTIVE, INSTITUTIONAL, ASSOCIATE, RETIRED, or LIFE member- you will get access to all Forums, with the exception of the Safe Techniques. It’s not that we don’t want your company – nor are we trying to be unnecessarily snobbish. We just want to protect what is generally considered a higher skilled segment of our industry, from ‘looky loos’ and ‘wannabes’. The information shared in Safe Techniques has come at a much higher price (both monetarily and experientially), and therefore is restricted to those ‘invited in’.
If – after reading all that, you feel you have been unfairly restricted, then you have my sincerest apology for my ‘mess up’. If you are looking to upgrade, or otherwise complain – Please feel free to email me directly to plead your case and/or beg my indulgence – no worries I am a very gracious host.
